The NRHS 1993 Convention, in Chicago, gathered famous locomotives from great distances and treated convention-goers to thrilling excursions and tours of historic locales. Pentrex was there as official videographer to capture all the excitement for your enjoyment. Metra F-Units opened the convention, powering a commuter train toward the Illinois Railway Museum. You'll see much of the Museum's fine collection, including an operating Electro-Liner, a Frisco Ten-wheeler, the Nebraska Zephyr, and more exotic equipment. Other activities included special trains on CTA's elevated lines through downtown Chicago, and on the famous South Shore's interurban line to South Bend, Indiana. The two big steam events at the convention included the Union Pacific Challenger 3985's round trip to Findlay Junction, Illinois. There are exciting sights from on board the train and great shots from trackside. Ex-Nickel Plate engines 587 & 765 double-headed a roundtrip excursion to Argos, Indiana, thrilling passengers and spectators as they powered their train along the former Nickel Plate mainline. You'll see it all, and more, in this two hour, action-packed production. Big steam power, vintage diesels, historic interurbans, and Chicago's finest commuter railroads are yours to enjoy again and again in Pentrex's Chicago Steam Celebration. 120 Minutes In Color with Live Audio and Narration. Packaged in Sturdy Vinyl Clamshell Case. Retail $29.95.
