This book is organized by railroad and location, beginning with the Lehigh Valley around Towanda, PA and following this around Sayre, PA. It then looks at the Erie, Lackawanna and Erie-Lackawanna in Waverly, NY, following them west to the Elmira, NY area. At Elmira it heads south on the picturesque Elmira Branch of the Pennsylvania Railroad. This entire remarkable primarily taken in the 1940's was conducted within a one hour drive of photographer Lloyd Hall's home in Towanda, PA.
