This program is divided into three parts. Part one features approximately 30 minutes of vintage footage (supplied by Bob Erich of Baltimore, MD) of B&O steam and diesels in both freight and passenger service. Also included are a few scenes of steam on the Western Maryland and diesels on the C&O.

Part two is the B&O produced movie (circa 1946) Meeting the Challenge describing the entire railroad operation and featuring many steam, diesel, freight and passenger train shots.

Part three gives the viewer a look at the former B&O (now CSX) as it looks today.
